Mr K. Anvar Sadath is presently working as Vice Chairman & Executive Director of Kerala Infrastructure & Technology For Education (KITE) under Government of Kerala.
He heads the implementation of Hi-tech School project which converts 45000 class rooms of classes 8 to 12 in Kerala in to Hi-tech and also establishing Hi-tech labs in other 10,000 schools from classes 1 to 7, which empowers all teachers to handle the pedagogy based class room transactions by using the portal 'Samagra'. He established the largest ICT network of students in the country called 'Little KITEs' along with other initiatives like SchoolWiki , VICTERS educational channel etc.
He has started his career with ER&DCI ( Now CDAC) in 1998 and since then worked as Director – Akshaya, Head of UNDP supported e-Krishi, Technical Director -IKM, Executive Director, IT@School project, CEO of Eram Scientific Solutions etc.
He is the First Indian to receive ‘The International Contributions Award’ constituted by The Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) head quartered at Bloomington, USA. He has been invited for paper presentations in several international forums and has travelled to all continents. He holds masters degree in Computer Applications & Business Administrations and has authored 8 books on the IT and technology genre and is the recipient of several awards such as the Science Literature Award 2005 and Dr. C.P. Menon Memorial Award in 2012.
