KN Ganesh is a Malayalam Writer and History Teacher. In 2015, he was awarded the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Knowledgeable Literature.
He holds a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University. He retired as Professor of History in Calicut University. In 1989, he was editor of the Kerala Gazetteers. He was instrumental in the work of the Kerala Education Commission. President of Kerala Sasthra Sahithya Parishad in 2005-07.
