Well known short story writer, novelist and essayist in Malayalam literature, Paul Zacharia's style of writing has created an unconventional way, coming up with radical themes. His major works are Ithanente Peru, Bhaskarapattelarum Ente jeevithavum, praise the Lord, Oru African Yathra etc. He has won numerous awards. Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award, Sahitya Akademi Award, Muttathu Varkey Award, O.V. Vijayan Literary Award etc are few to name. His works have been translated into English. His collection of stories ‘Then’ has been selected for the Malayattoor Ramakrishnan Memorial Award instituted by Malayattoor Memorial Committee.
