In a session titled the Story of Kochi: The manifestations of a cultural mosaic, the author and screenplay writer P.F Mathews commented that the so called new generation Malayalam movies were destroying the essence of the Kochin slang. This was discussed in the session featuring K.J Sohan, moderated by Bonny Thomas.
The riveting interaction presented the audience a tribute to Kochi, for the cultural hub it has become through the ages. The evolution of the city as a cultural hotspot is what is to be understood, than the dialect which has come to the forefront, recently.
The city which is a perfect balance of history, and modernity should remain the same said the panellists, who emphasised on the need to preserve the culture the city hosts.
Bonny Thomas, concluded the session by stating that Kochi is a living museum of various cultures.
