‘’Architecture has now got a global picture. Even in the case of designs everything is global and revolution is occurring everywhere. Today’s generation is more passion- driven,’’ said Brijesh Shaijal at the discussion that focussed on the importance of the conservation and rejuvenation of old towns.
The policy matters in the development of cities were explained by Boney Thomas, who also added on the gruesome effect which marginalisation brings to the art of construction. Brijesh also commented on the hesitation of architects towards the construction of houses which exceeds the real needs of the inmates. It is a waste of resources in all forms hence must undergo a second thought and revival added Shaijal.
The session was thought provoking as it clearly addressed the contemporary issues in the field of architecture and revival of old towns.
