C.P. John, the former planning board member here at SPACES Fest said about the necessity of a design policy for Kerala, which became relevant with the havocs caused by the recent deluge. The inefficient management of material and monetary resources to rebuild Kerala was also brought under discussion which also featured J. Reghu, Sunil Kumar V, architect Mujib Ahmed and Dr. Manoj Kumar Kini.
J.Reghu said that sustainable constructions and right impact assessments was the need of the hour, considering the continuous episodes of floods the state has been facing.
Kerala should be prepared to face the consequences or should take the right precaution to prevent the flood in the future said J. Raghu to avoid the loss of life and buildings.
Dr. Manoj Kumar Kini and architect Mujib Ahmed also spoke during the session.
