In the session featuring S. Usha, Dr. K.G. Thara moderated by Dr. A. Bijukumar highlighted the importance of the concept of restoration ecology. The bleeding ecosystem needed a revival solution. The age old notion of Panchabhutas are the essential elements for survival. Unaware of its importance, the ecosystem is now under crisis due to pollution, fragmentation, ecological imbalance and degradation.
